- Added Ha data previously acquired with my AT115 

M101, the Pinwheel Galaxy, is a grand design spiral about 170,000 light years in diameter and is located about 23 million miles from the Earth in the constellation Ursa Major. Visible are blue colors of hotter, young stars mixed with obscuring dust lanes and pinkish star forming regions. It has a companion dwarf galaxy, NGC 5474, which is not shown in this image.
